By “continental cuisine” is usually meant French and Italian, many of which are indistinguishable. Continental Food , on the whole could be considered as Intenational Cuisine, particularly British,Australia, New Zeland,American.Regional food generally becomes popular or famous when there is appreciation for that cuisine and then comes the demand for it…for example Chinese Cuisine.Cuisines of Korea , Thailand or Malasia may all be clubbed as Chinese, because of the similarity in their styles of cuisine. On the other hand there is Italian Cooking….which is a blend in itself….about 10-15 provinces there in Italy make Italian Cuisine..again depending o the climatic conditions and vegetation in those regions.
If ever there has been a Classy Cooking Style…it has been French cuisine….very old,Beautiful presentation may not be simple.. but very elegant, full of flavours.
In Modern days, continental cuisine has probably come to terms with a blend of all these international cuisinestogether.
